Based on its national and awareness-raising role in building a generation conscious of the challenges and history of its homeland, Merit University organized an expanded student seminar celebrating the anniversary of the victories of the Sixth of October 1973. The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Sawsan Morsi, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Nabil Nour El-Din, Vice President of the University, with distinguished participation from the deans of the faculties, faculty members, and supporting staff. The event included a documentary film that accurately documented the historical epic experienced by Egyptians, reviewing the scale of sacrifices and hardships borne by the home front and the armed forces before the war, leading up to the moment of the great crossing and the achievement of victory that restored pride and dignity to Egypt and the Arab nation. In their remarks addressed to the students, the university leadership and deans reviewed the strategic and national dimensions of the October victory, affirming that the will of Egyptians, which crushed the Bar Lev Line, is always capable of overcoming all difficulties through knowledge, work, and belonging. The seminar reflected the great benefit and high awareness of Merit University students, who interacted remarkably with the seminar’s segments, affirming their pride in the sacrifices of their forefathers and their determination to continue the path of construction and development with enlightened minds that keep pace with the times. May our Egypt always prosper.
