Merit University

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing effective local, regional, and global partnerships to support medical education and integrated healthcare.

The University's Role in Building Strategic Partnerships

Merit University realizes that sustainable development cannot be achieved in isolation. Therefore, we are committed to building bridges of cooperation with government institutions, the private medical sector, civil society organizations, and international universities. These partnerships ensure the exchange of expertise, the standardization of educational quality, and the expansion of community services throughout Upper Egypt.

Map of Partnerships & Community Engagement

Below is an overview of the distribution of Merit University's partner entities and the volume of participation in international events hosted by the university:

Key Models of Partnership & Cooperation

The 5th International Medical Conference

Hosting this exceptional event reflects the university's success in gathering academics, international experts, and health sector representatives under one roof. The conference represents a vital platform for signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), unifying treatment protocols, and enhancing cross-border research cooperation.

Community Partnerships for Medical Convoys

The university does not operate alone in its community services; rather, it forms close partnerships with government bodies in Sohag Governorate. This ensures that our specialized physical therapy convoys for children reach the most underprivileged areas, embodying fruitful cooperation between the academic and executive sectors.

Standardizing International Academic Criteria

To ensure our graduates align with the requirements of global medical institutions, we have adopted rigorous, bilingual evaluation systems. By maintaining student academic identity in Arabic while providing scientific feedback and evaluations (for courses like INI-105 and SUR-315) in English, we establish an infrastructure that facilitates student exchange programs and international accreditations.
