**The activities of the Fourth International Medical Conference of Upper Egypt Universities (Merit University – South Valley University – Sohag University – Aswan University – Luxor University) have launched.** The conference is held under the patronage of **Prof. Dr. Sosan Morsi**, President of Merit University, and **Prof. Dr. Nabil Nour El-Din**, Vice President of the University, with the participation of **Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawi**, President of South Valley University, **Prof. Dr. Abdelnasser Yassin**, Vice President of Sohag University on behalf of **Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani**, President of Sohag University, and **Prof. Dr. Louay Saad El-Din**, President of Aswan University. The conference is supervised by **Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sherine**, Vice President of Merit University, **Prof. Dr. Alaa Radwan**, President of the Conference, the deans of the faculties, and organized by **Mr. Ayman Afifi**, member of the Board of Trustees and General Supervisor of Financial and Administrative Affairs. The convening of this fourth consecutive international scientific conference confirms Merit University’s leadership in supporting scientific research and promoting the development of medical education in Upper Egypt. Merit University was established in November 2019 and began accepting its first cohort of students in the academic year 2020. Since then, the university has continued to achieve successive accomplishments. Today, the university has over 7,000 male and female students across three faculties: the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Physical Therapy, and the Faculty of Pharmacy. This year is distinctive in the university’s journey, as it will witness the graduation of its first cohort of students. The conference this year also witnessed wide participation from the academic and professional community, with a number of sponsoring companies contributing to supporting the conference activities, in addition to the presentation of 86 distinguished scientific research papers covering the latest developments and technologies in various medical specialties.
