The Global Outreach Office serves as the university’s central hub for international engagement, responsible for developing global partnerships, enhancing international visibility, supporting mobility programs, and positioning the university within global rankings and networks.

A well-structured Global Outreach Office enables Merit University to transition from a locally strong institution to a globally connected, competitive, and recognized university, strengthening its position in international education, research, and innovation. It operates in close coordination with academic faculties, research centers, and senior leadership to advance internationalization, collaboration, and global impact.

Director of Global Outreach

Reports to: University President

Role:

  • Lead international strategy and global positioning
  • Develop and manage international partnerships
  • Represent the university globally
  • Oversee all outreach programs and initiatives
  • Align activities with rankings (THE, QS) and accreditation

3.1 International Partnerships Unit

Head: Partnerships Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage MoUs and agreements
  • Build relationships with global universities and organizations
  • Coordinate joint programs and dual degrees
  • Maintain partnerships database

3.2 Mobility & Exchange Programs Unit

Head: Mobility Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Manage student and staff exchange programs
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound mobility
  • Support visiting scholars and delegations
  • Facilitate internships and clinical placements

 

3.3 International Students Office

Head: International Student Services Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment of international students
  • Admissions support and onboarding
  • Visa and accommodation assistance
  • Cultural integration and student experience

 

3.4 Global Rankings & Reputation Unit

Head: Rankings & Analytics Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Manage submissions to:
    • THE Rankings
    • QS Rankings
  • Collect and validate institutional data
  • Benchmark performance globally
  • Support reputation building

 

3.5 Marketing & Global Communications Unit

Head: Global Communications Manager

Responsibilities:

  • International branding and digital presence
  • Website and social media targeting global audiences
  • Promotion of conferences, partnerships, and achievements
  • Media relations and global visibility

 

3.6 International Research & Grants Unit

Head: Research Collaboration Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Identify international funding opportunities
  • Support joint research proposals
  • Coordinate research collaborations
  • Manage partnerships with research institutions

 

3.7 Events & Delegations Unit

Head: Events Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Organize international conferences and forums
  • Manage visiting delegations and official visits
