Within the framework of Merritt University’s commitment to its community role and its efforts in community service and environmental development, a specialized medical convoy for general surgery was held today, Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the university’s outpatient clinics. This was in cooperation with one of the civil society organizations (NGOs) in Winet El-Gharbeya village – Sohag Center.

The convoy was sponsored by Prof. Dr. Sawsan Morsi, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Nabil Nour El-Din, Vice President of the University; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sherine, Advisor to the University President; and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Desouky, Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine. It was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fathi El-Nahas, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Alaa Radwan, Head of the General Surgery Department.

The convoy provided medical examinations for a number of cases, with 8 cases being examined by Dr. Doha, Assistant Lecturer in the General Surgery Department. This is part of the faculty’s efforts to provide specialized medical services to the most in-need areas.
