
Merritt University Launches Blood Donation Campaign… A Community Initiative to Support the Healthcare Sector and Patients in Sohag
As part of its active community and humanitarian role, Merritt University organized a large-scale blood donation campaign at its headquarters in Sohag Governorate, in cooperation and coordination with the Regional Blood Bank. This purposeful initiative aims to support the needs of Egyptian hospitals and medical centers for various blood types and contribute to saving the lives of patients and injured individuals.
The campaign witnessed significant turnout and active participation from students, faculty members, and university staff, with an atmosphere of enthusiasm and social responsibility prevailing. This underscores the deeply rooted spirit of solidarity and human compassion among university affiliates and the surrounding community.
In a statement, Prof. Dr. Sawsan Morsi, President of the University, affirmed that this campaign falls within a series of qualitative initiatives adopted by the university aimed at consolidating the concept of effective community participation and instilling values of giving and volunteer work among the youth.
For their part, the Regional Blood Bank team expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to the administration of Merritt University, praising the excellent organization of the campaign and the significant turnout.
