A new scientific achievement: Merit University wins and honors the winners of the top five positions at the Fifth Student Conference of Upper Egypt Universities Institutional support to promote innovation and student scientific research. Merit University celebrated its outstanding students who won the top five positions at the Fifth Student Scientific Conference of Upper Egypt Universities, in a step that reflects the University’s firm commitment to supporting scientific research and developing the innovative capabilities of its students. The honoring ceremony was held under the supervision of the University’s leadership, represented by Professor Dr. Sawsan Morsy, President of the University, Professor Dr. Nabil Nour El-Din, Vice President of the University, and Professor Dr. Alaa Radwan, President of the Scientific Conference. During the conference, the students presented a group of innovative medical and applied scientific research papers that received the praise of the judging committees, and the ranking of positions came as follows: First place: Won by the two students Rana Mahmoud and Asmaa Mahmoud for a research paper discussing the use of “fungal protein as a sustainable protein alternative” and its health effects and commercial applications. Second place: Won by a student team (including Rania Fawaz, Afnan Hamada, and their colleagues) for a study on the effectiveness of “Beeanco honey ointment” in wound healing. Third place: Went to a research team (including Nourmina Adel, Fady Ehab, and their colleagues) for their multicenter cross-sectional study on “comorbidities associated with high blood pressure.” Fourth place: Achieved by an expanded student team with a research paper on the composition and evaluation of “liposomal hyaluronic acid serum” to enhance skin hydration. Fifth place: Won by the student Judy Ehab for her research related to “pelvic tilt and its relationship to body posture imbalance.” The University administration affirmed that this honoring represents the fruit of the efforts of students and faculty members, and an indicator of the success of Merit University’s vision in graduating cadres capable of providing scientific solutions that serve society and shape the future.
