Dr. Mohammed Taha Ahmed Salim
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I was born on May 6, 1974, in Mallawy, El-Minia, Egypt. I demonstrated an early interest in science and mathematics, which guided my educational pursuits.
I earned my Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Al-Azhar University, Assiut branch, graduating with an Excellent with Honor degree in 1998. I went on to complete a Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Microbiology in 2005, followed by a Ph.D. in Anti-viral Chemotherapy from Kagoshima University in Japan in 2012, where I received a Certificate of Achievement for the best PhD thesis.
I began my academic career as a demonstrator in general, pharmaceutical and diagnostic microbiology, progressing to Assistant Lecturer and eventually becoming a Lecturer in Microbiology and Immunology at Al-Azhar University. My research primarily focuses on microbiology, virology, and antimicrobial resistance. Currently, I work as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Microbiology and Immunology Department at Merit University, Sohag,
