Cooperation Protocols Signed Between Merit and Sohag Universities A delegation from Merit University, consisting of: • Professor Dr. Sawsan Morsi, University President • Professor Dr. Nabil Nour El-Din, University Vice President • Professor Dr. Ahmed Sherine, General Supervisor of Medical Education at the University, visited Sohag University.
They were received by:
• Professor Dr. Hassan El-Noamani, University President
• Professor Dr. Magdy El-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Sohag University
• Dr. Ahmed Kamal, Director of Hospitals at Sohag University.
The purpose of the visit was to sign four protocols within the framework of the South Upper Egypt Universities Alliance Conference. These protocols include:
1️⃣ A cooperation protocol regarding the training of medical students from Merit University at the hospitals of the Faculty of Medicine at Sohag University.
2️⃣ A cooperation protocol regarding the training of medical interns from Merit University at the university hospitals of Sohag University.
3️⃣ A cooperation protocol regarding the training of resident physicians from Merit University at the university hospitals of Sohag University, as visiting resident physicians between Merit and Sohag Universities.
4️⃣ Cooperation Protocol Regarding the Registration of Physicians Participating in Postgraduate Programs at the Faculty of Medicine, Sohag University. These protocols aim to build and strengthen strong developmental alliances with universities in Upper Egypt to prepare and qualify medical personnel according to the latest scientific standards, and to provide students and physicians with the necessary practical and applied experience. This will positively impact the level of medical services provided and underscores the two universities’ commitment to supporting the educational and medical process and serving the community. The University President expressed his sincere gratitude to Sohag University, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Numani, who provides unwavering support to Merit University in all areas.
