Required Documents
New students
- Completion of the application for admission.
- The official certificate of general secondary education or its equivalent.
- Birth certificate.
- 6 personal photos (passport size).
- Form 2 soldier for Egyptian male students, which can be obtained from the post office.
- The military card for Egyptians over the age of nineteen. For those over twenty-two, an official document stating the military status must be submitted.
- A copy of the identity card or passport (for non-Egyptian students).
Transfer students
Applicants transferring from other educational institutions must submit all documents mentioned as new students in addition to the following documents:
- An official transcript from the applicant’s previous college detailing the curricula and official grades obtained. Foreign documents must be legalized by the issuing institution and legalized by an Egyptian embassy or consulate in the country of origin.
- A detailed description of all courses and grades during the years of study, certified by the issuing authority (certified by the Egyptian Embassy for foreign students).
The number of credit hours to be transferred must not exceed 50% of Merritt University’s graduation requirements
Egyptian secondary certificates are not High school
Al-Azhar - Technical Diplomas - Nile - Schools of Excellence
- High school certificate
- A copy of the national ID card of the student and his guardian
- Birth certificate for the student
Equivalent certificates from Arabic certificates
(Secondary certificate) approved by the body issuing the certificate and documented by the Egyptian embassy in the country from which the student obtained the certificate
- A copy of the national ID card of the student and his guardian
- Student’s birth certificate
- A certificate of movements stating that the student resides in the country from which he obtained the certificate during the study period
Note: Students of some Arabic certificates must bring the following documents in addition to the aforementioned documents:
Saudi Secondary School: Bring a certificate of abilities
Bahraini secondary school: Bring a certificate of completion for each of the three secondary grades approved by the authority that issues the certificate and documented by the Egyptian embassy in the country from which the student obtained the certificate
Yemeni high school: present a certificate of completion of the preparatory stage (third grade of preparatory school) and a certificate for each of the three secondary grades accredited by the authority issuing the certificate and documented by the Egyptian embassy in the country from which the student obtained the certificate
recipients of American diploma
A complete and documented academic sequence for the academic years (12 academic years), or a certificate from the Ministry of Education that the certificate obtained by the student is equivalent to the Egyptian general secondary school and meets the requirements of pre-university education.
- A documented (GPA) certificate – whether it is collected or each grade separately – and in the event that it is from different schools, each certificate is documented by the accredited authority.
- STA 2 & STA 1, ACT or EST certification.
- Bring your username and password to print the SAT or ACT.
- All materials must be One Credit, not half materials, and equivalent.
- A statement from the General Administration of Private Education at the Ministry of Education approving the school or schools that the student attended and obtained the certificate from.
- A letter of approval of the school or schools that the student attended and obtained the certificate from, in case the student obtained the certificate from outside Egypt other than Washington.
- The original birth certificate of the student.
- The original movement certificate for the student, if the certificate was studied outside the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Note:- The Secretariat of the Council of Private and Private Universities can request any documents from all concerned authorities with the certificate, whether it is the cultural advisor of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the country from which the student obtained the certificate, the embassies of those countries, the AMIDEAST office in Cairo, or the Ministry of Education.
Any other papers can be requested to ensure the authenticity of the documents referred to, and any document that is influential in determining the eligibility of accepting the student’s coordination or not.
recipients of IGCSE or GCSE
A complete and documented academic sequence for the academic years (12 academic years), or a certificate from the Ministry of Education.
And the education that the certificate obtained by the student is equivalent to the Egyptian general secondary school and meets the requirements of pre-university education.
- A certificate (IGCSE) from the Board accredited in the Arab Republic of Egypt and fulfilling all ratifications and documentations.
- The IG certificate must be documented with the original golden seal, as well as the General Administration of Examinations and the Ministry of Education.
- Egyptian Foreign.
- Bring letters from the British Council to verify any part of the certificate.
- The original birth certificate of the student.
- The original movement certificate for the student if the certificate was studied outside the Arab Republic of Egypt
- A letter to change the name shall be by a letter from the (British Council), if required.
- The system must be (Extended) and not (Core) and must attend the ninth grade to know the beginning of the (IG) certificate.
From June to June or November to November.

- The original birth certificate.

- Bring the tenth grade certificate to complete the required subjects

International Baccalaureate IB Certificate
- Original birth certificate.
- The original academic sequence is documented and approved.
- Bring the original certificate with all the ratifications.
- The number of points in the certificate must not be less than 24 points
Canadian High School Certificate (Canadian Diploma)
- The original birth certificate.
- The origin of the academic sequence is documented and approved.
- Bring the original certificate with all the attestations.
- It is not required to pass the SAT exam with this certificate.
Note: – For students who obtained a high school diploma from Quebec, Canada, it is required to bring a certificate (CEGEP) Collège DEnseignement général et professionnel
Russian high school diploma (from all Commonwealth countries)
- The original birth certificate.
- The origin of the academic sequence is documented and approved.
- Bring the original certificate with all the endorsements.
- Submitting an original letter of scientific supervision to the student approved and documented by the Egyptian cultural advisor in Russia.
Equivalent certificates from African countries
- The original birth certificate.
- The origin of the academic sequence is documented and approved.
- Bring the original certificate with all the attestations.
- Bring a letter from the embassy concerned with the grades key for the certificate
Note: When submitting the papers of Nigerian high school students, it is taken into account that they include the Username and Password of each student on the WAEC Direct or NECO Results website.
